You do not need a partner to join. Our all-level class welcomes first-time dancers.
What You’ll Work On
- Finding the Cumbia beat and moving comfortably with the music
- Building clear basic steps and relaxed weight changes
- Developing partner connection and simple dance patterns
- Practicing with feedback suited to your level
Each monthly class offers a chance to practice and grow. Instruction is adapted to the group; this is one 45-minute class.

Learn with the founders of SalsaKnox Dance Company. Waldo y Jacqui guide dancers through rhythm, steps and connection in a friendly, supportive setting.
Whether you are exploring Cumbia for the first time or returning to build your skills, you are welcome in class.
How to Join
1. Reserve your spot. Click the registration button and complete the $15 checkout.
2. Come to the studio. Join us on the first Monday of the month, 6:30–7:15 PM. Arrive a few minutes early.
3. Learn and dance. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for dancing. We will guide you from there.
Cumbia Class Questions
Yes. All levels are welcome, including complete beginners. Waldo y Jacqui provide guidance suited to the group.
No partner is required. You can come alone or bring a friend.
The class meets on the first Monday of every month from 6:30 to 7:15 PM, Knoxville local time. If you have a question about a particular date, call (865) 455-3658 before registering.
The price is $15 per person for one 45-minute in-person Cumbia class.
