Juan y Marcela are professional salsa and bachata dancers, instructors, and performers from Miami, Florida.

​Juan, originally from Colombia, has dedicated the past eight years to mastering salsa, specializing in the fast and intricate footwork of Cali-style. He honed his skills as a member of the renowned Colombian dance companies Paso Latino and Salsa Latina, where he trained intensively in performance and competitive salsa. His journey into bachata began six years ago, and he has since refined his craft, becoming a certified Sensual Bachata instructor through the Esencia Method by Marco and Sara. Now based in Miami, Juan brings his deep understanding of Latin rhythms and technique to his students, helping them develop confidence and style on the dance floor.

Marcela, from Brazil, is a classically trained ballerina and has danced professionally for more than 15 years. She graduated from the prestigious Ballet School of Leipzig in Germany and danced for eight years at the Berlin State Ballet, where she performed throughout Europe, Asia, and America. Later, she became a soloist at the São Paulo State Dance Company in Brazil. Recognized internationally for her outstanding career, Marcela transitioned into Latin dance four years ago, immersing herself in salsa, zouk, and bachata. Her background in ballet and contemporary gives her a unique grace, control, and expression that sets her apart in the Latin dance world.

Juan and Marcela's fusion of technical precision, energy, and passion has earned them recognition on the competitive stage. In 2024, they won First Place in Bachata Cabaret at the Latin Dance Crown Competition, showcasing their seamless partnership, breathtaking lifts, and innovative choreography.
